ABOUT THE SURFSKI SHACK
The Surfski Shack is a surfski club for anybody interested in the sport. It is an off-shoot of the Malta Canoe Racing Club (MCRC) which is a registered voluntary organisation.
The MCRC was opened in 2008 and has proudly supported many athletes to achieve their goals, some of which representing Malta abroad in high level competitions. 2016 saw the opening of The Surfski Shack which would be dedicated to helping paddlers improve their surfski and downwind skills.
The Surfski Shack regularly holds challenges, races, courses and social events for their members and friends.

Discover Surfskiing: Beginner Taster Sessions
Curious about surfski paddling? Our taster sessions are designed specifically for beginners who want to experience the thrill of the sport in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll be led by an experienced club paddler who will "show you the ropes" and guide you through the basics of handling a craft.

What to Bring:

Swimwear and clothes you don’t mind getting wet.

Plenty of water for hydration.

Sun protection (hat and sunscreen).

A fresh change of clothes for after the session.
Facilities & Gear: We provide all the essentials: a surfski, paddle, leash, and Personal Flotation Device (PFD). After your session, feel free to use the club showers—just remember to bring your own towel and toiletries!
